The 'Tracks of Time'
The Making of the 'Tracks of Time'
As a young child, who hasn’t walked down the old railroad tracks, or placed their ear on the rail to hear the sound of an approaching train. These memories never go away. They are part of the innocents of growing up……something that we somehow always want to hang on to.
We travel down these Tracks of time, and it is a one-way journey.
We can never return.
When railroad tracks with such great memories are in a community with thousands of children that have walked the tracks for nearly 75 years, but are now slated for removal, producing a sculpture that will forever encapsulate these memories becomes very important to the community.
Conceptualizing life-sized sculpture, requires knowing why you are making the sculpture, having good reference details, and it does hurt to have a good model.
When an artist is commission to produce a sculpture, the community is extremely trusting in the artist ability
to produce something beyond their expectations.
The Tracks of Time, was designed to stop you in your Tracks, and take a momentary journey into
the past.
